Late March 2015

Great final trip of the season up to the mountains of West Virginia  for some snow sliding.
As usually is the case there was fresh snow , powder was  ridden, and the  weekend crowds have melted away before the snow has.

First chair  back up on Widowmaker as the sky tried to go blue on March 28th . Temp 8 degrees at 9 AM.
4 inches of blower powder  on top of  perfectly groomed slopes. Turns were  fantastic.

It took longer to  track out Snowshoe on  this Saturday late in the season than it normally does midweek mid season  since there were far less people on the hill this time of year.  After successfully doing so  a bonus session  consisted of a splitboard/ski tour   of an area that wasn't open anymore . It was holding a beautiful powder refresher.Hiking only no lifts.

Heading up

Skintrack stoke .

Virgin pow in the south on March 28th .Here's David going first .

Then I followed .

Yes the turns were very good.

Surf West Virginia

Beyond grateful to be back out riding powder after being on crutches for 5 weeks and non weight bearing at all  with a brutal knee injury back in  early winter.
